Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1973, she began her studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst before earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Loyola University New Orleans in 1996, laying the foundation for her career as a professional artist.
Committed to deepening her artistic practice, she continued her studies internationally, attending the Student Arts Center International in Florence, Italy, in 1997, where she focused on figure painting. The following year, she moved to New York City to further develop her understanding of painting, color theory, and the human figure through advanced studies at Parsons School of Design and the Art Students League of New York.
In 1999, she returned to Puerto Rico and began working under the guidance of Master Andy Bueso, whose mentorship played a significant role in shaping her artistic vision. From 2000 to 2004, she served as a professor at the Bueso Academy of Drawing and Painting, continuing the educational legacy of her mentor following his passing.
Over the years, her work has been exhibited in galleries and exhibitions throughout Puerto Rico and internationally. Since 1999, she has devoted her career to creating expressive acrylic paintings that explore emotion, memory, and human connection. Through color, gesture, and composition, her work invites viewers into a visual dialogue—one that reflects both personal experience and shared emotional landscapes.
